The Area 1 FCC meets the fourth Wednesday of the month, and we welcome anyone who would like to attend our meetings!
The September meeting of the Family Care Council (FCC) for Area I is set to meet Wednesday, September 24, at 12:00 p.m., at 12:00 p.m., in the conference room at United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Florida (corner of E Street and Leonard) at 2912 North E Street in Pensacola. The theme of the meeting is "Supported Living – Am I Ready for It, and How Can I Get It?"
In addition to focusing on supported living for people with disabilities, it is expected that Dr. Dave Robinson or another representative from APD will provide updates on the Agency’s current status of services for people with developmental disabilities. The meeting is open to the public.
Mandated by the Florida State Legislature in 1993, the FCC advises the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) on the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Anyone who is currently receiving services from APD, or who has a family member receiving services, is eligible to apply for a seat on the Council.
